This is "Mom", she is the mother of the first litter in Squirrel House. She moved into the house in late April of 2008 with 5 very young babies. She spent about 1 month raising the babies and kicked them out of the nest in early June of 2008. She only came back to the yard a few times in early June and then we never saw her again until the first week of May 2009. She has a missing patch of fur on her back; this is visible in both the video from 2008 and in this photo from 2009. On of her babies "Spot" lived in the house over the winter of 2008-2009 and was the father of the spring 2009 litter (We think).

This is Sophie, she is the Mother of the spring 2009 litter.We believe that Spot is the father. She raise 4 healthy babies in the Squirrel House.
